Gerd,
Please extend our to Kurt from PackardInfo and our for allowing you to include his '54 Pacific in the Owner Registry here. Although I note your reference to his english and computer skills, if he could be registered as a Forum member that would be even better.

Long time member of PackardInfo I see, but this is your first post, so

And could you please include your '56 Pat in the Owner Registry together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it?

'54 now looks good and I further reviewed '52 and '53 and according to Gerd's latest check list that should be the lot. Someone may wish to do some spot checks just to make sure.

G'day Bill,
First up, your first post, and to PackardInfo. I should defer to the acknowledged experts here but, my understanding is, the armoured cable is a security feature to safeguard the ignition from tampering. That said I invite you to include your Packard, presumably the 1937 120c Convertible coupe referred to above, in the Owner Registry together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it.

Eric,

If you did end up doing something like this, could you be sure to document how it went with pic's and any particular problems encountered along the way?

Would travelling and accommodation expenses be on top of the quote for the swap job, because how far is it from Wichita Kansas to Houston Texas?

Gerd,

That pic outside the Paramount Studio must have been taken during the time of making "Paint Your Wagon"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paint_Your_Wagon_(film) with Lee Marvin as Ben Rumsonhttp://www.metacafe.com/watch/2162103/lee_marvin_1969_paint_your_wagon_wandrin_star_ully/ and Eastwood as Pardner. Along with Yankee Doodle Dandy with Jimmy Cagneyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yankee_Doodle_Dandyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6frGqfa3HGk the only musical movies I've ever truly liked.

G'day Faust,
Although not quite local, but only an ocean and a continent separate us, here's pic of the vent lever from my '41 Coupe. May be of assistance.

PS - Also thrown in a pic of my '38 vent lever and handle, but because it's a factory RHD car may be different to your LHD.

G'day Bob,
to PackardInfo and to your friend who owns the Pat as I found out from the caption in the Packard Photo Archive "My Friend's 52 Patrician 400". I invite you, or your friend, to also include the Pat in the Owner Registry together with a pic, any known history and the details of how it was acquired.

Just did 1952, boy those concept cars at the Warren Ohio museum attracted some pic's. However the first 3 pic's of Derham Formal Sedans, all press photos, I'm unsure of so maybe someone with a better feel for this than me could determine if they belong in the 1952 category or another more suitable one?

EDIT - And 1953 done!
