Packard used that convention for a number of prewar years. For example a 1901 chassis would be a 1941 "120", the 1901A would be the corresponding commercial chassis.

Hi

What a mess those Lazarus auction cars are! Only the '41 LeBaron and 120 coupe with sidemounts are restorable. The rest are parts cars at best. I remember when he used to advertise some pretty interesting, decent cars decades ago. He should have thinned out the collection long before now.

A potpourri of Upper-Midwest choices:

A '37 120 sedan project, body looks solid, inventory first:
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/cto/5232158883.html

A '50 Super Deluxe Eight, solid California car, rebuilt engine and Ultramatic, vinyl interior, still very good for price, tempting, tempting:
http://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/5235506985.html
Replace the blue vinyl with a dark blue cloth could create a very serviceable, attractive interior.

A '54 Clipper Deluxe four door, darn good for $1,700:

Sorry its not a two door, Bryan!

A '54 Convertible, ambitious project, inventory the parts first before you buy:

A '55 Clipper Constellation, one couldn't restore a deteriorated one this good for his asking price:

A '56 Clipper sedan, project, pricy but worth investigating:

Hi BDC

The farmer is giving up a nice '41! It has a PAC bumper badge, hate to see a member having to give up such a nice car.

More selections looking for new owners:

A '38 Eight, sidemounts, 43K miles, original:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/5201915920.html

Two '47 Custom Super Clippers, same seller:
Black, Maroon interior, 82K miles, daily driver:

Blue, silver top, lovely blue interior, 41K miles, sweet!:
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/5232644149.html

A '49 Eight 23rd Series, maybe nice driver for the price:
