Hi

A few scarce models:

A '49 Custom Eight, 22nd Series, two-toned oddly, seller notes he has five other Packards:

A '53 Clipper Sportster, professionally restored, gorgeous:
http://wilmington.craigslist.org/cto/5557414502.html

That '54 Clipper Sportster, '56 taillights, continental kit, price lessening:
http://savannah.craigslist.org/cto/5556716448.html

Finally, the rarest, choicest: A '54 Pacific, converted to manual shift, Ultramatic quadrant still in place:

Who posted recently looking for a Pacific?

Steve

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

The '53 Clipper Sportster has one of the most attractive engine compartments I have seen. The '54 Sportster has the pre-'54 speedometer.

I'm not sure if the Sportster is similar to the '54 Super Clippers, if so, they used the '53 style gauge cluster, as we as the '53 brakes, and rims.

Only the '54 Special and Deluxe Clipper used the new 'sweeping' cluster and had the smaller brakes and bolt pattern. (same as 55 clippers)

Engine bay of the '53 is very nice. Only thing out of place are the chrome acorns head nuts.

I guess I'd include the hose clamps on the radiator hose. And IIRC the spark plug boots available as an accessory were separate pieces and not molded to the wire itself. But I'm being picky, it's a very attractive engine compartment.

I almost freaked when I saw the "original flathead V-8" in the description of the 1954 Clipper until I saw the straight 8 engine in the photo. I think that car is a real steal at that price and I don't think it will be around for very long.

I really like that 1941 110 too. In the Deluxe package, the 110 was close in price to the 120. I have seen one of the '41 Deluxe models and it was a jewel of a car. The performance difference between it and a 120 is almost negligible. Packard's 6-cylinder engines are excellent and the asking price of this car is probably less than it deserves.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

Here is a 1937 6-cylinder Packard sedan in what looks to be very nice condition. Although it is described as "all original," I kind of doubt that it originally came with wire wheels and those "eye brows(?)" over the headlights. Still a nice car:

I think I saw this car last week in Charlottesville, VA. If it is the same one, I can tell you it is a very fine car.
