I guess it's no worse an idea than that poor car that gave it's front for a mailbox rack a few posts back. Can't quite envision a BBQ but I've seen a few photos of Cad and Chevy couches made from the back end. Making one from that Packard might better be called an arm chair or possibly you could get into the love seat range.
