Last night the movie Hard Times was on starring Charles Bronson and James Coburn. Their car was a 1936 Packard 120 four door sedan. Included the goddess of speed, sidemounts and trunk rack. Painful scene was when a loan shark sent his henchmen to collect a debt. One of them beat the car with a sledge hammer. Ouch Posted on: 2009/8/5 9:16

I don't know if it is a case of there are not many more out there or we have gotten most of them. However I saw one yesterday on TCM. It is Woman Wanted and stars Joel McCrea and Louis Calhern. Costarring with the Packard are Myrna Loy and William Powell. Powell plays a free spirit who lives in a trailer in a parking lot next to a saloon. The Packard and trailer are going steady. After The Thin Man starts with a long scene in which Nick and Nora ride home from the station in a Packard touring with the top down. Some excellent shots of the interior, and of the Packard driving down the street and up the driveway. The movie was released in 1936 so I'm guessing it was a 1935 Eight touring.
