I have a couple of people nudging me to get into the Packard supply business. Of course since, I am still out of work, this is where I spend most of my time anyway.

Query: since Bob Berg no longer makes the J-6065, I am looking into reproducing these, If so, how much interest would there be?

I have a few other items up my sleeve, Im looking at, my goal would be to make a profit but yet, make them as affordable as possible for the field so fellow enthusiast can afford the items needed to maintain our rides.

Guys, I am preparing to go to production on these tools, I am finishing the CNC programing.
These will be cut via Waterjet, and powder coated for a durable finish.
Time line to production will be the end of this month at which time I will have final costs and pricing.
Again, any interest from the group?

Troy, glad to hear you're contemplating a project and I hope there is enough demand to make it worthwhile for you. This tool was available as a repro for many years and most folks I know who have had a TL car for some years already have one, and many of us have a pair of them. Yet newcomers to these vehicles will want one so I don't think the market is saturated.

I suspect there would be greater interest in the rear winding tool which to be best of my knowledge has never been reproduced and which I suspect would find a much larger demand.

Mite also look into making the dash bezel removal tool. Use a plastic or wood handle and ,IIRC a 3/16 coupler nut with the thread drilled out.

Front TL links:
Basic idea: use two 7/16 coupler nuts, a threaded rod to join them with two very thin lock nuts. Press into the opposite ends the seats from an OEM TL link. OR make the seats. Somewheres on this website i posted pics of the oem TL link with the ends removed. They just press in. So 2wo 7/16 coupler nuts y one stud to join them together should work. Ez, cheap effective.

I believe the dash bezel tool is being repro'd. There was at least one region and maybe a vendor selling them as recently as a couple of months ago.

Ignition switch bezel. The OEM bezels are a real piece of shit. Even if a repop is not entirely cosmetically correct as long as it is strong and fits.

If u have facilities for casting small parts would be good. AC brackets come to mind. Maybe a redesign of the BTV master cylinder to eleminate the compensator valve and retro fit with some kind of readily available rebuilding kit from something like a mid-80's honda civic that used a 11/16 piston. Better to find a 5/8 kit to retro fit.
