This 1937 Packard Twelve chassis was fitted with the coachwork from an older (believe about 1917) Pierce Arrow. Photo taken at the Petit Jean Mountain Museum in 1970 by the author.

From Yachting magazine, date unknown but the engines pictured were produced from 1947 thru 1951. Available in either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation with several different gear ratios, in either 6 or 12 volt.

That's occasional contributor to this site JHH2392 in the passenger seat. Just ahead is a fairly rare Packard, a 1941 160DE convertible cpe in Saratoga Beige with wheels in Cimarron Red, an original combo. Just ahead of that is a 1931 Pierce-Arrow model 43.

This picture and the following information on this photo provided by notable Packard historian Jim Pearsall:

"Subsequent to Mrs. Packard?s ownership the car later was owned by a funeral parlor in Warren, and I suspect that?s the original source of the photo. It was published many years ago in an article in ?Cars and Parts,? although I don?t recall who wrote the article, possibly Hugo Pfau."
