Love the layout changes! And no worries about it being too busy for dial-up - I've got that, plus a horribly slow computer, and it came up no problem. Really loving the 'recent photos' changes!

BigKev,

I like it, and also Brian's suggestion which you very swiftly responded to.

Re: Industrial or marine ?
Just popping in
Just popping in

Matt
Hello,

I just found this forum and am hoping y'all can help me identify this Packard motor.

It came with a Chris Craft project I bought - the previous owner was planning on repowering the boat with this Packard Stokes marine conversion.

I know nothing about these motors and am not planning on using it in this boat. I am curious as to its origins (specs, year, etc.) as I know nothing more than that it is a Packard V8 with a Stokes marine conversion.

I can post more photos as needed.

Any input would be much appreciated.

thanks,
matt

BigKev -

Just had a chance to check back. You sure are FAST with that little change I asked for. Looks like its working real good.

Yet, back when I first caught the new layout, I also thought the Forum had been wiped - until I read you post.

Great job!!!

BIGKEV: The changes look good to me. Earlier this afternoon I checked in here, and didn't find the forum were it should have been. I thought maybe someone had hacked the site and put the forum down. Then later on I checked and noticed that it had been moved.

I haven't tried it from home (dial-up), but it looks good from work (hi-speed).

One thing I've been wondering about "Recent Forum Activity" was if you could show just display the recent "thread" rather than every recent post to that thread. Presently, a lot of activity in one thread (several posts) will push many other threads off that list.

As you can see I moved a couple things around. I moved the "Recent Forum Activity" to the Left side of the page, and made the Recent Photos area display thumbnails on the right hand side.

Please give me some feedback on this. If this makes the page look too busy, or takes too long to load, then I can always switch it back.
