Apparently no one has measured the actual current draw but they use the same 40 amp circuit breaker as the window motors. The circuit breaker is sized fairly large at 40 amps so if more than one window is operated at a time it will hold. The seat motors are constructed and wired the same way as the original window motors with the case getting ground and only one wire at a time getting power.

The only relay involved is the power relay operated by the ign switch. That relay is there to provide power to the windows and seat only when the key is in an on position. The seat motor should not be drawing any more current than the stock window motor. If I had to hazard a wild guess I would say maybe around 8-10 amps when seat is freely moving and maybe 15 under load and 20-25 when the motor is stalled. It might even be a bit less.

Ok. This one was attached to the heater. Did I just have 2 and someone forgot to remove one?

I asked this a few nights ago but never got a response.

How much power do the power seat motors require?

I wired them up over the weekend using the original relays as shown in the image but it overheated the motors real-quick.

Kev, yes I tried it both ways starting with the Up solenoid.

Howard, it may have to wait until the lift is available before I can do anything about it unless there is a relatively simple (not necessarily easy) way to do so while it’s still high up on stands. I don’t grovel well under cars anymore even on a creeper but getting back up after I do is even worse! I’ll have to look into the process better tonight once I’m back where I have WiFi.

Yep, that's the heater switch.

That looks like a heater switch.

That fiber insulation was what was originally used on the floorboard and toeboard. Most of the time it has rotted away.

What I find curious is there are not even holes in the floor Pan for bolts at these locations. Nor were there rubber mounts at these locations, which I kind of assumed they had just fallen out, but maybe they were never even there. There is absolutely no indication that this car has been in an accident, and everything on this car appears to be factory, even the seam sealer. The people that owned it from the early 60s to the early 80s said they did no body work or engine work to the car. Now I'm not sure if this is something that was made this way intentionally, or if it was something that was missed at the factory?
