For my 47 Clipper I went withhttp://www.whitepost.com/ , it was a little pricey but I still have the original brake and master cylinders. They seleeved and quarantee it for lifetime. Hoses where from NAPA and hooked up with no problems.

Randy, I'm just trying to put it back to original, plus the copper is pretty much bent in many directions. When you buy brake line all ready made it comes with two different kinds of fittings. One long and the other short, I know that back in 1947 they only use the short fittings for the brake lines, but does that still hold true for fuel lines?
Plus after looking at the pictures below of a Super Clipper, it looks like I'm missing a heat shield that goes around the fuel pump, or was that shield not installed on a Custom Super Clipper? Thanks everyone for the input! Attach file: (55.83 KB) (60.99 KB)

I've been looking for 5/16 copper tubing to replace my fuel line from the Fuel Pump to the Cab. since that's whats on it now. But trying to find 5/16 copper tubing isn't easy, and when people ask me what's it for, they say I should be using steel. So should it be copper or steel?

The websitehttp://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=CA only lists only 5 stations in CA.
I guess one could make their our Ethanol free gas, with Ethanol gas by adding some water, agitating it until the gas and water separate and skim the gas off the top. But that sound like a lot of work to me.

Thanks JW for the information, I re-watch my DIY video on the 1939 Packard by Mark L. and he says to use the Bellows style because it allows more water flow.
Yes it looks like I will also need a metal sleeve to hold it in place. I found the information in the 1953 Service Technical Bulletin that talks about using the capsule type instead of the bellows due to the higher pressure in the newer cars. Thanks again. Wes

Two Packards, three motors, but should I use the old style or is it okay to use the new style?

Hi quick question, I need two Thermostats, can I find them at NAPA or any local parts or do I have to order from a known Packard Parts supplier?
