I will recommend another excellent shop that did my 633 tank.
Vol Radiator, Knoxville, TN, Rob Langston 865-522-0975.
Rob just worked up a new radiator core with a PA company for my 633, excellent job.

There should be a internal boss to attach the cap link to, this link is also attached to the rad and shell.

New bellows are installed. He also builds them for some of the major peddlers.

I am pleased to recommend a skilled craftsman who rebuilds shutter bellows, thermostats and heat gauges for most all classic automobiles and soon will be doing hydrostatic gas gauges and sending units. His name is Jim Otto and he has many years of experience. Phone 865-966-9494. He reworked the shutter thermostat and heat gauge for my 626 and the same for a friends 29 and does quality work.

The coil I have is like the one on the right. What holds it to the dash? There is steel wrapped around it that might be pried apart but I am going to hear from someone that has done it before I try.

How is the 626 coil and switch assy. mounted to the dash, how does the switch assy. remove from the coil? Friend gave me one today and I would like to replace the no name switch in my 29 with it.

Hello Odd, Have measured the core from my 626 and it appears to be the same measurements as your 640 core. I checked the parts book and found that the 640 and 626 assembly, core and tanks have different part numbers. Do you know what the difference is, could be a difference in tanks only? Would anyone else know the difference in a core for the 29 626 and 29 640, dimensions of the 640 are above in an earlier post.

Yes, thats the Guy. I was over there in the 60's and met him on his Sunday jaunts around the island in his 29 sedan. Later followed him home in my 39 Ford to see his 34 Touring and a gullwing Mercedes. Friend of mine here in Knoxville met him on an earlier assignment. Guy is the absolute Packard man for HA. He is still around in his 90's.
