Sounds like the lights are working properly. The front sidelights (parking lights here) only come on in the first notch.

there is no VIN in the modern sense. The serial number would be on the cowl plate, but if that's missing, use the engine number on the block

Thanks for the advice, I already tried the long needle nose way but it is too tight and they just twist so I'm going to make a tool at work. Going to try the squirty stuff today. On the same subject with the light switch pulled all the way out should the front markers (sidelights) be on or off...? mine come on with the tail lights and side body lights when pulled out to the first notch and go off again when pulled all the way out, tail light and side markers remaining on with the headlights.

No more to come. I had a '54 Henney Senior ambulance parts car, which gave up its rear door to my '53 and its 359 engine to a Caribbean (not mine). It's gone now.

1942 Packard Henney ambulance - VIN?

Found this in the Chatroom. Will PM Eddie that it's now posted here.

[Eddie] I have a 1942 Packard Henney ambulance that started life on the munitions base at Hawthorne Nevada. It is rather basic with two seats in the front and a huge area for hauling. It was given to me without a title. The engine has been rebuilt and is in pristine shape. The rest of it is in tough shape. I need to know where the VIN is on this vehicle to pursue transfer of ownership. Any ideas?

Ozstatman -- 1955 is my year of birth. Sadly Henney was out of business by '55.

Byran,

Congratulations on the new acquisition, a garage mate for the '55 Clipper Super Panama, and please don't forget to include it in the Owner Registry.
