Hi Alburton,

That was a great story in the owner's registry. I hope you and your young family enjoy many years of Packard ownership. Maybe we'll see you around some of the shows in the midwest. What a hero your dad is to let you go for your dream. A lesson for all us dads

I have been following along every step of the way. I didn't want to disturb a master at work. Keep 'em coming

I heard that much of the paneling from the executive office building will be used at America's Packard Museum in Dayton. They will recreate Alvan Macauley's office.

On a related note, the radiator grille from the plant's bridge was delivered to and unveiled the museum on February 27th. It's about 7 feet long and weighs around 3,000 lbs and was in three pieces.

Yes, that's the same Carl Schneider. I spoke with him for a few minutes at dinner. A real gentleman.

This car was at Citizens Motors (America's Packard Museum) during the Winter Weekend a couple of weeks ago. A very interesting custom that presented well. The rumble seat was a little impracticle and access cumbersome but overall I liked it. I think Carl Schneider is or was the owner.

Good to know. I am in the market for some new tires for my '53 as well. Thanks.

My service manual states tire size of 8.00x15. I don't know if that makes much of a difference from O-D's recommendation.

John,

Thanks for playing the Faygo jingle. That really took me back. Must be a Detroit thing. Let me know if you're ever playing in the Chicago area.

Fran Roxas is a noted Chicago area restorer who has won many awards for his work with the classics (Packards, Dusenbergs, etc). I didn't know he had branched off into the customs. Is he the owner or the architect?
