It's a small nit to pick, but that photo is of the 22nd Series cars, not the 23rd Series. Check the fifth car in the line -- it's a 21st Series Clipper, so this photo was taken in 1947 (from July onward).
A similar photo appeared in the 1948 Annual Report (in black-and-white), taken of the same cars - but without any workmen around. Maybe when the lunch whistle blew?

The newest Time magazine has the Packard factory on the cover. There is a photo of it on the PAC forum.

According to the article in The Packard Cormorant #131 (Summer 2008, page 28), the builder of the "1933"-looking car was 2nd Chance Classis in Gibbon, Nebraska. Dwight Bond was the fellow who started the company in 1985. He closed up shop in 2000 after 46 Coupe-Roadsters, 3 Victorias and 5 Limousines were built.

I would check with SASCO (Studebaker Autoparts Sales Corporation), 410 W Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana 46624.
Info: 574-287-3381 Orders: 800-722-4295 Fax: 574-287-3386 Email: dlambert@studeparts.com They have, I believe, more Studebaker parts than anyone. They are located in one of the old Studebaker factory buildings in South Bend.

Not only will the 1931 V-12 fwd prototype and the Car of the Dome be missing from this show, so will the only surviving 1953 Monte Carlo. The picture below was published in the July-September 2008 issue of North Atlantic Packard's "Pelican Papers". According to the article in the "PP", the car was delivered to a restoration shop in 2004 "in absolutely deplorable condition". The owner of the car did NOT want to be identified. At the time of the article, the car was about 90% complete.
So - not every concept car will be there...

I knew that I saw some photos of a solid-colored 1954 Caribbean somewhere. It took a while, but I found them.
These were published in the Packard Club's January 1998 issue of the "Cormorant News Bulletin". According to the article, the photos were taken either on Sept. 22 or October 9, 1954 in Framingham or Quincy, Mass. The event was a "Fashionata and Motorama" to benefit Archbishop Cushing's Charities. The event was sponsored by local Packard dealers and drew crowds of several thousands. At least six different '54 Packards are pictured in the article, all of them Seniors. There are two other Caribbeans pictured; both are painted a "normal" two-tone combo. But -- at least ONE solid-colored Caribbean was made. I do not know if it came this way from the factory or was done by a dealer after delivery.

That grille is from a real 22nd Series Custom / 23rd Series Custom, Super -- modified a bit. There was an article published in the Packard Cormorant last year telling the complete history of Gullickson's efforts.
