i have a 55 clipper constellation with a std od ,but right now its covered with junk and be a while before i can get it cleaned off to open the hood , on that firewall just sand it, prime it ,and sand it smooth and just paint it

actually those seats are to nice for the car , suppose have that cheap cloth in it
most packards have no resale value anyways , so i guess it doesnt really matter, wish i knew who did the upholstery ,i need a clipper constellation done

u are correct, it takes a stainless strip
i believe Merritt has those strips ,i wouldnt put the top on without the stainless strip,looks cheap without it, u can dye the inside, me and a guy did one comes out nice ,the company made the dye ,mixed it the color wanted , and like i stated good place buy the top is from
aro2000.com they show one on there site in vinyl looks good i have installed many conv tops in my day believe me

if that car has the 2x4s setup on it and air cleaner, and the car was here in the states,i would fix it ,i have about all parts fix it with,wonder if it has factory AC?

i believe u will find all 55 56 packards have the same windshield except the convertible , get a used one,should be easy find ,its the shipping thats a problem, u will need a new windshield rubber, hardest part is getting the chrome strips installed

i have 2 spotlights on my 55, they both say packard on them,
i believe u can still buy the spotlights from Unity yet ,i
go on Unity website, i bought bulbs from them direct

check with Max Merritt ,i know what u are talking about, they are different,there shorter,the rest of moldings is the same
even the windshield is shorter like a half inch,i did a Caribbean and it was poor workmanship from the factory,the windshield opening was wide enough i think i could of put a hardtop windshield in it
