Mal,
Your door handles look suspiciously like my 1940 ones........

Looks like you've bitten off a big one Mal.....good luck.

Except for the running boards, my first impression of the 1941 Bohman & Schwartz Limo was of one of the ugliest cars but it is growing on me.

Thats what I have been known to do. Loosen the aircleaner nut....squirt a little fuel onto the recess in the air cleaner...watch it go down.......give it a moment then fire it up. It usually picks right up.

Eric's idea of heat sounds good to me. Some variations of those thread sealing compounds (Loctite but don't rem which version number is an example) are meant to NEVER come loose without heat.

Well, Keegan, I can't even afford the fuel to run it so don't feel bad.

I read once at full speed it wears out a set of tires in 15 minutes, but never fear the fuel tank is empty in 12 minutes..........

Owen,

Knowing where these pictures are from, even if people were in a hurry, they weren't going to get there fast on the roads available. I am sure a six or the small eight would have done all that was possible.

DAF: Interesting observation.....my guess is the bumpers were often swapped at purchase time due to all the roadkill here. Since I am a "transplant", I'll let other Australians take a guess. On one hour and a half drive from Canberra (where I used to live) towards the coast, I counted eight dead kangaroos one day on the road. "Defensive driving" I suppose.
