The interior is excellent original broadcloth, but after vacuuming, I find that it could use a good cleaning. But how and with what? I'd rather leave it as is than chance damaging or compromising it in any way.
Ideas greatly appreciated.

Would a solution of Woolite and water work. You could test in an obscure area. I don't know but thought I would mention it. Post if you find a good method. Good luck.

If you look in the owner's manual you will find some very good tips.

Here in Detroit I handle a lot of these quality cases myself that would have executives/inspectors blowing their top. A few of my methods:

a) Don't wet the upholstery. Apply the cleaning product to the micro-fiber towels and clean that way.

b) The first solvent to try is water.

c) Use mild solvents like glass cleaner and isopropyl alchohol if a towel dampened with water doesn't help.

d) For more stubborn stains like grease and oil I use naptha which you can buy at the hardware store.

e) For wool it might be helpful to consult a dry cleaner. Who knows, they might even sell you the stuff, but I think they use naptha.
