Can anyone provide a photo of an installed electrical junction box on the left side of the frame near the steering box switch housing? I need to see how the conduits are routed.
My car also had a box just inboard of the frame where the cables routed through from the battery box. A photo of that would also be appreciated.

You might post your query on The Packard Club forum, there is a member there who posts regularly, Adam Moody from the UK, who has an essentially original and unmolested 533.

I am on vacation and can take some photos when I get home next week.

Sorry I can't be of help on this one. I know for certain the junction you seek has been modified on my car. As Owen suggested, Adam with the 533 is a great resource and a really nice guy.

rrhorton; I have some photos for you. The battery side is oblong and you can see the small conduit that goes to the gen. and the larger that goes up behind the fire wall with hot wire to amp gauge and gen. wire, also battery cable to starter switch. The other side is square. The large conduit goes to light switch. On the rear the small conduit goes back to tail light and has a "Y" that goes to backup and stop switch on transmission. The middle wire goes to horn and larger conduit is for the hot wire from amp gauge. the two rubber covered are for head lights and should be conduit. ALso need to do a little cleaning and did remove two lost lock washers. Hope this is of help to you. Dell
