Windshield Wiper Mounts

On my '37 120, how are the windshield wiper mounts installed onto the cowl? I see in my parts book where they might call for a #6-32 x 3/4" oval head screw, but that 3/4" length appears to just go into the bracket and no more. I do not see where the screw actually attaches to anything to hold the mount in place.
Does anyone have any additional information concerning how these are installed? And, also, my pictures are not clear enough to tell me which one goes on which side.
As usual, I do appreciate your help.

There is a steel piece that goes underneath through which the screw goes that clamps it to the cowl. They are shown here as group 30.762 in the upper left and right corners.

Thanks. I did see those in my parts book, but they didn't appear to be what would fit properly. I'll go back and see about getting those.
Thanks, again.

Hello, again. In my parts book, part number 30.762 does not fit my '37, model 1092, only later models. Could the parts book be mistaken?
Thanks.

If you're talking about the wiper transmission, it would have a part like that. I can't say if it would be the same part but I showed the image just so you can see what it looks like. I've never owned a Packard earlier than 1939 so I don't know about compatibility from model to model and year to year.

That said, I'm not sure what 1092 is - maybe the body number? The parts book in this case shows the model numbers and there is clearly an OCR error so you'll need to look it up in the PDF of the manual.

Don; Yes, 1092 is the body style number for the '37 Touring Sedan. Regular sedan is 1090, and coupe and convertibles have different numbers but all begin with 109, I think. I've just concentrated on my car during the restoration.
Thanks again for the information.

1956 EXEC; Yes, I probably will need mounting hardware, so if you can add that to my package, that would be appreciated. I'll also send this via text to your office phone if it accepts texts.
Thanks.
