Good Morning,
I have a question that I hope is not too ridiculous. This is a picture of the bottom of the carburetor off my 1801. I would like to know if these two corrugated pieces are part of the original carb or some after market devices to perhaps improve gas mileage. Thanks, Rich I hope I've attached the pictures properly./Users/richard/Desktop/100_2583.JPG/Users/richard/Desktop/100_2582.JPG

hello plugs1.
There is no ridiculous questions. I have an 1801 also, but I definitely am not an expert. I have had my EE 16 restored and the only other items I am aware of are spacers between the carb and the manifold. Their purpose will probably be discussed by others more knowing than me.

Hopefully I will be able to attach some photos later. I was not able to view your pictures.

For thermal insulation.

Thanks for the replys. I think that they are an aftermarket item. I'm not having any results getting the pictures on with my post.

Thanks for your input. I think before I reinstall the carb I'll remove them.
