There has been considerable discussion of this car over on the AACA website. The consensus there seems to be that the car is overpriced by quite a bit.

The ad reads like the seller is a jerk.
Maybe there is an ordinance in Syracuse about unregistered vehicles. Then city hall could put a lien on it and have it towed to the impound lot. Don't laugh I've seen it done.

Hi
Didn't check the AACA forum first. Well, there goes my credibility, if ever there was such! Looked to me to be a nicely-preserved original, one that could be an AACA HPOF Class survivor, once cleaned up and made functional again. Although not original, personally I like the old Western Auto Stores aftermarket plaid seat covers. As a kid just getting interest in old cars in the 1960's, frequently when interesting cars were encountered in the junkyards back then, those that showed they were someone's pride-and-joy at one time were fitted with those. I liked the red/blue/tan ones best. This seller will be disappointed that no one, not even the rod boys, will be foolish enough to pay his inflated asking fantasy. Expect to see it on eBay shortly, trying vainly again to find that one greater fool somewhere. Steve

I emailed him aND got the following response :
Everone knows a survivor car in original paint low mile is worth more than a restored sterilized car. I know the market I'm starting High to weed out low ball offers. Also since you can't buy one anywhere else like mine....I set the price. Simple supply demand. Packard prices are up in the $ 260,000 for 1932 coupes and convertables. I know mines rare and not worth 100 it's just to start off high let the offers roll in. I will not take $25,000
