I removed a piece from behind my grill on my '37 Sport Coupe.

I'm not exactly sure how it is supposed to look. It goes behind the grill and below the bottom of the radiator.

I think the sides should be straight and vertical and the bottom flat out to the point.

Yes....No?

mine is missing on my car, but looking at the triangular hole that is left behind....I'd say yours is pretty mangled up.

Here is a couple of pictures of two 1937 air scoops. The grey one I am reworking. and the reddish one is of an original one showing the one of the three bolting location nut plates. I have two or three of these scoops laying around. My 1090 has one installed and one is for my 1937 120CD Sport Coupe.

I'm trying to get the chrome grill out of the painted shell.
Can someone confirm that I need to bend the tabs on the center painted rib section to get the chrome grill section free?

I have put a straight red line (see red arrow) from the top of the grill surround to the "chin" area of the grill. Shouldn't that be straight?

Thanks,
bilbo
