What are you seeing on your gauges? Running on a hot day, but water temp is fine. I have 30psi until I drive a while. Drops to 15psi. Plastic Gauge all rods are about .0015 -.002. I have three engine projects. One just buttoned up to run. I have tested all my oil pumps and relief valves. Have a second gauge connected to see if the two are about the same.

I know on my 54, when hot, 15lbs at idle is about what I see.

Referencing a 1934 8 which is essentially the same as 1932/1933 with the exception of the oil filtration system and cooler. I run SAE 30 oil and typically have 15_20 psi at hot idle and 45_50 at road speeds. A bit less on blistering hot days or at prolonged higher speeds (45+ mph). The pressure relief valve is set to open at 55 psi which I routinely get on cold startup. I wouldn't be uncomfortable with 35 psi at modest road speeds but much less than that would begin to concern me.
