1941 180 Wood Window Frame Question

Can anyone tell me for certain what the metal material is that's used to separate the different veneers on the window frame? I'm guessing it's 'German Silver' but I'm not sure. I have only a few bent scraps left on my frames. It's a silver colored metal that is very soft, a little stiffer than tin/lead solder. I've attached a photo of what I'm talking about. Wish my window frames looked like these!

Thanks

Whether it's German silver or pewter, my brother used aluminum to restore his and looked identical. I suggest replacing all with the same material on the same sil, though.
