I saw this on the Jalopy Journal's H.A.M.B. site and thought folks here would be interested in seeing it. I don't recall if it has been posted before. If so, please excuse.

JW,
I have seen some pictures of the car, but in this rendering it shows to have factory A/C. I wonder how that was done in the car?

Yes, the picture does show a small scoop on the rear fender above the wheel. I wonder if they are functional or just a styling piece?

I'll second that question and add another. In some 22-23 series ads for professional cars (ambulances, limos etc) Henney mentions AC was available when Packard was not offering it. Has anyone seen an actual application or literature showing how or whose unit they used on those cars.

EDIT: As JW mentions, the scoop is there as is a space between the forward and rear facing seats. Could that be where it is and is that a plastic duct immediately in front of the left rear facing seat?

According to the nonpareil Coachbuilt.com the original car was blue.

One other interesting thing is what appears to be an afterthought gas cap on the left rear render top. They must have moved the gas tank into the fender behind the rear tire and hollowed out the regular under floor spot for a foot well.

I seem to remember reading a review of the car by one of the test drivers of the day. IIRC, it was not terribly complementary -- or politically correct. Acceleration was something like driving a bus while pulling a train & handling was like trying to drag a 300 lb date around a dance floor when you both wanted to lead.
