Need a replacement rear drum for
My 53 Clipper. Any one have a parts car?

I have a good rear 12” drum from a 1953 that looks like it does not need to be turned. In fact it is close to the limit now at 12.055” so probably can’t be turned again, although I’m using the rule from my later ‘60s cars and it’s unclear what Packard’s specification for that was so maybe it can. A light sanding should do the trick on this one.

However, if you have 11” brakes, clearly this won’t work for you.

I have 12s. Where are you located? What are you asking?

All 53 Clippers would be 12". 54 Supers are 12", 54 Specials and Deluxes, (and all 55 Clippers) are 11".

Still looking for a rear drum that is serviceable. Thanks

Have you checked with Ross Miller? Mike Dilinski? Gerry at Southwest Packards? David Moe (Seattle Packards)?

I can't believe one of those guys won't have a good used one squirrelled away.
