The good news is my CNC machinist finally delivered another production run of the conversion kits and I was able to ship the four back orders.

Every time I beg him to run them again, he says, "I'd have thought everyone who has a Packard V8 would have one by now." I'd have thought so myself, but every couple of years, the shelf is empty and he has to make more.

The bad news is he's 72 and just retired and future availability is uncertain. If you haven't gotten yours yet or think you might ever need another, now might be a good time to stock up.

Oldsmobile oil pump conversion kit $215
Oldsmobile oil pump and pickup $115
High volume Olds pump and pickup $165
Second design cam retainer plate and spacer $75
Neoprene rear main seal $25
Repair of cracked front balance damper $125

prices include domestic postage.

Does the Olds oil pump conversion kit contain the pump or do you have to buy the pump & the conversion kit?

I thought it was pretty clear in Jack's post. The oil pump is separate from the adapter kit. You can't buy the pump from either Jack or your local auto parts store and bolt it to your Packard V-8. That is what the conversion kit is for.

You have two choices in pumps, the standard output and the high volume output. Both are 60PSI compared to the Packard 40PSI. I always put high volume ones in my cars and recommended that to customers when I was selling the kit. But, YMMV.

FWIW, all standard Olds oil pump and pickups ordered will now come with the pickup installed. Some customers found they're a PITA to install by hand, so now I use a special tool on an air hammer to seat them firmly.

The high volume pump uses a bolt-on .

I had this melling pump blanched. Flat. You can shorten the plate. So it's not close to pan.

I am going flat..that is how packard is. I can see no angle with main or packard block.

Still plenty of material to bolt

You can move outside bolt in 1/4inch machine off part of bolt hole..

Interesting idea, Riki.

FWIW, the third-generation adapter blocks are now thinner.
