I'm not seeing this seal in the parts book. Does anyone know if these are repo anywhere or perhaps some bulk O-ring material would do the job? Posted on: 5/22 15:38

Home away from home Joined: 2023/3/17 22:34 Last Login : Yesterday 16:39 From Alberta Group: Registered Users Posts: 826	I'm not sure if this is the same sort of thing you're referring to, but on my 53 Cavalier the air filter seal was just crunchy bits and I ended up getting some small fuel line (green) from Napa and put a couple dabs of gasket adhesive to hold it in place. You could probably make one from some heavy felt and glue it in. The majority of cars I get in no long have one and it makes no difference. Posted on: 5/23 5:28

Here is the underside of the cover. The bottom lip rests on the rubber seal. If the seal is not there it can only rest on the metal lip of the filter.
