Too cheesey for a 1955 400? Thoughts? And where and how many should be placed on such a land yacht?

Oh no, you need one behind each wheel and to be really cool, a couple attached to the rocker panel just behind the door.
Several short foxtails attached to the rear feelers would look too

I have two, behind the front wheels. I don't like them. Every time I have to explain (Dutch) people what those things are, hanging out of my car...

U guys gotta' be joking. They're supposed to go to the FRONT of the front wheels.
Of what possible use could they ever have behind the wheel???

I dunno about you, but I generally BACK into a parallel parking spot. Seems to me that you would want the feelers to the REAR of the wheels, for FIRST contact.

Kevin AZ. While u're insattling the feelers add a couple of static straps to the frame just under the trunk, a KY wonder mud flap ... More as i think of them.
My preference are the squirrel tails, fox tails and coon tails. Especial squirrel tail on any forward radio antenna.

Don't forget a tiger tail hanging out from under the gas filler door, courtesy of Esso.
This could get pretty deep.

For Packards1 and Mr PB a bottle of Uncle Jakes jelly.

I remember orange plastic horseshoes (paired) on rear bumpers back in the '60s, but they were from Gulf Oil, which was HQed in Pittsburgh (before they merged with Chevron a few decades ago). I still have a set somewhere, but the peel-n-stick adhesive is shot.
Also seem to recall a small orange ball styled to resemble the "Union 76" station sign for the top of the car radio antenna.
