1955 Patrician being parted out on eBay with factory air!

Here's a "heads up" for those 1955 or 1956 Packard or Clipper owners who want to install a factory air conditioning set up in their vehicles. There is a 1955 Packard Patrician being parted out by a junk yard on eBay. Currently, the seller is only listed the pair of tail light assemblies, but the listing also says that if a potential buyer sees any parts he or she wants to contact the seller. Looking at the dash photo, I noticed that the Patrician has factory air conditioning and the dash control knob and set up and the dash air vents were still with the car -- at least when the photo was taken.

Don't expect to get any parts from the Patrician for a song -- the seller wants a minimum of $750.00 for the two tail light assemblies, which look to be in bad shape. He'll probably want a fortune for any air conditioning parts. But, I suppose that it doesn't hurt to ask.

For that price you could have your own chromed. Those are core units at best. I have a set of those for far less than that.

I wasn't recommending that anyone buy those tailight assemblies for $750, I just wanted to point out that the car had factory AC and warn any interested persons that the seller probably has an inflated sense of what the parts are worth. Would be interesting to see what is left under the hood.

Just providing information, not any recommendations.

looks like it was ended by seller and was lowered to 550 at one point.

The trunk seems to be full of the 51-54 "bulls-nuts" tailight housings.

Maybe the seller was trying to get a feel for pricing parts with this one. Hopefully he'll list other pieces more reasonably.
