The interior material is wrong, right? Although done nicely IMO. What is that on top of the dash? AC vents?

Interior has likely been reupholstered, including the dash pad. Light/dark green genuine leather was available, but I don't recall how the layout compares to others trim combos. What's the Trim Set number on the VN plate?

Yes, those are air vents on top of the dash - for the factory installed A/C.

I parted out a 55 Patty with green leather once upon a time. That is quite correct from color and pattern, though the original was a tad more shiny. Very hard to find any sort of attractive shade of dark green carpet.

Isn't "H" code the gray color, gray pearl?

Is the "H" maybe an "A"?

Paint code H is Gray Pearl - a dark gray metallic. However, a single letter means it wasn't a two-tone scheme.

Trim Set number 6 would confirm light/green leather as correct.

If the Paint code was indeed an A, rather than H, then the car would have been orginally painted all in Jade - a light green.

That would also explain the light color behind the transparent background of the side roof emblems - that the roof had been repainted in dark green.

Brian,

My emblems on the roof pillar on my 55 is silver. Was the 54's transparent?

Well, I'm going by faded, fuzzy memories for the one 55 Pat that I owned, but sold 20 years ago. Maybe the background had weathered away. Dunno about the 54s.

An image of a repro from Emblemagic for 55 Patrician shows:

...a bright background, but I seem to recall that the emblems on my 55 still had some gold-coloring left on the ring/rim.

Now, I'm confused. Let's hear from other owners with unrestored, original examples of either 55 Patrician or 400.

The paint code is definitely H but I like the way it's painted now and the interior as is.
