Jack, curious - what clearance does JE advise to use for these pistons? Or in the absence of their recommendation, what clearance are you planning on using?

The non OEM part you found was installed in the wrong engine. It was meant to go to my friend Mark's engine where more appropriate accommodations had been prepared.

It's a '56 from a Golden Hawk, so stock heads with new valves, guides, springs, hard exhaust seats and positive valve seals.
A mild performance regrind cam, new lifters and OEM 4-bbl intake. JE says .003" for street, .004" for hard use, .005" for race. We're putting these in at .0035", exactly. When complete, it will be about $4,000. jack vines
