I have an aftermarket turn signal box on the car and it is having problemsh. I think the simplest ting to do is replace the whole unit that clamps around the column.

Can anyone suggest a unit that will replace this? I think the six volt part of it would relate to the flasher only.

There are cheaper ones out there, made in Mexico, and I'm sorry to say I bought one for my '40, painted to match my column, and don't want to replace it now. NAPA sells the 6v flasher for it. It didn't come with one. Also, the "lights"...little pieces of translucent plastic on the unit that look like they should be illuminated when you move the handle, aren't. Only the center light comes on.

Speedway Motors sells a couple of units with one of them having the emergency flasher feature.

Yes Howard, I have one of those and what an excellent piece of kit it is. Very easy to fit and you can actually see the lights flashing in daylight. I would recommend it to our friend enquiring.
