Hello Friends,
Since I have the radio out of the Clipper, I am considering sending it to America for a repair/rebuild. Can someone make a recommendation for good service?
Thanks very much,
Mark

I've sung his praises here before, but my auld friend Steve Messenger, Just Packards, Napa, CA in the North Bay Area wine country, knows as much about ancient radios, including short wave, as he does 1930s and '40s Packards.
Call him seven days a week -- talk about labor of love -- at
1 (707) 254-2046. Tell Steve a black '47 Super Clipper in Walnut Creek sent you. Prompt turnaround.

I was extremely satisfied with the radio work performed on my Wonderbar by fellow PAC member Harold Rushing. The time cycle from ship to receive was very prompt.

FWIW...it might be a good idea to have a forum where people can share outside resto services, it would be a good resource for people looking for services based on others' experiences.

Harold Rushing repaired two of my radios. He did a great job and has a terrific warranty.

Dont understand $$$$$$$$?????. If you are asking what the cost is to repair/restore a radio, I recommend you call Harold. His ad and number is in previous post.

Harold did my radio and it works beautifully. He got it back very quickly and was great to work with. I'd highly recommend him. Cost was about $235 if I remember correctly, but your cost will depend on what needs to be done.
