I probably need to have a gas cap cast for my 740 and am looking for a good foundry to do a one off sand casting. Any suggestions for a reliable outfit? Anyone had experience with Leerock Foundry of Ontario California?castmetalparts.com/Home_Page.php

Did you contact American Arrow in suburban Detroit?

Don and his son Dan own the place and I would not be surprised if they had a newly cast one laying around as Don owns two 740's - one a phaeton and the other a club sedan.
Call (248) 435-6115 in the eastern time zone.

Most of the castings he does are in stainless steel, then chrome plated.

Hope you get what you need.

You might also look into Firebird Bronze in Oregon. Joe had them cast some some prewar AC vents in bronze using some wax molds I made. Joe said the vents turned out decent. They are willing to work in small quantities although I believe the vent minimum was a quantity of two. They also offer sand casting but I didn't check to see if they work with metals other than bronze.firebirdbronze.com
