Was the R11 OD something you or a previous owner installed? R11 solenoids are not that hard to find and Max should be able to supply one but if you have an original to the car OD the stock 39 unit is the one year only R6 and the solenoids are very different. The R6 solenoid body excluding the plunger is fairly flat at about 2" or so compared to the much longer at about 4" R9 solenoids used from 40-48 and R11s used from 48 onward.
Here are illustrations of the different solenoids. R6 is 39 only. R9 and R11 are similar in body appearance -- outward difference being the R9 has 4 terminals and the R11 has 2 terminals. Other differences are internal and in plunger length. Attach file: (16.04 KB) (17.73 KB)

??? agree surprising. R11 easy - stamped 1118132 or 1118155 (one is slightly longer than the other - quick ebait search lists 4.
R6 not so easy, as I have cornered the NOS supply ;)....If you have an R6, which would be original, keep my number... DAF

The R11 solenoid is available brand-new as a reproduction but not so for the R6.

True. Fifth Avenue Internet Garage is one place that sells repro R11 12v solenoids but I am not sure they have them for 6v cars.
