If you had a choice today between 2 120's of similar condition, one, a '38 and the other, a '41, they both need minor to moderate interior work, which would you choose and why. Oh yeah, the asking price is around 17k and negotiable and from the pics they appear to be decent driver quality.

Keep in mind, I'm not basing a decision to buy off of the pictures, I just would like insight on the 2 model years.

My goal if I were to make any purchase would be to preserve as much as possible versus restoring. I'm a big proponent of orginality and more so as I learn more about these great autos.

First a broad statement - mechanically '38 and '41 Eights/120's are very similar, except for floor versus column shift and the availability of an OD and A/C. I had a '38 Eight Touring Sedan before I bought a '41 One-Twenty Club Coupe so I'm familiar with both years. Just think it would come down to style and how attractive each would be to the eye of the beholder.
