I am missing what is called a "Banjo" bolt. It is part of the Bijur system and bolts to the back of the front backing plate. It would have hole drilled through it lengthwise and another through it crosswise near the top. With a copper washer on both sides it would pass through the "banjo" pictured on the right and allow the oil from the Bujur system to get to where it needs to go. I have added 2 photos: 1. shows a bolt in place.; 2. shows the broken off bolt and "banjo". I have heard these are available at NAPA, but I'm not sure that the Banjo Bolt they sell will fit. any leads or information would be great.

I would also appreciate any information on the availability of Bijur ferrules and drip plugs.
Thanks.

Gordon

This site has some specialized Bijur fittings and maybe what you are looking for -- or could possibly say for sure if it is available and direct you to someone who might have them.straight-eight.com/product-category/bijur-chassis-lubricator/

Bruce Blevins (Grand Blanc, MI) is also a manufacturer and seller of Bijur reproduction parts including drip plugs. He advertises in most all the major hobby publications. Or contact him thru the Packard Proving Grounds.

The front passenger spindle took a bit of a hit somewhere in the car's history. An interesting repair with a spindle with mismatched threads. I got a complete axle assembly from John Ulrich. We toyed with the idea of replacing the spindle and the king pin, but gave up when we didn't have a large enough king pin press and couldn't get enough room to use a hammer. We just cleaned , painted the axle, greased the ball bearings on the axle from John and installed it.

Now for the "Banjo bolt"
Photos are of one ugly spindle and one king pin that we gave up on.And my friend Sandy getting the "new" axle ready.

Ran out of POR-15. Had to buy another can to finish the axle. Car has the axle back under it.

I was told, years ago that the Bijur Company is still in existence and have many old parts?? Don't know how much truth is in that but worth investigating.

Yes, Bijur is still in the lubrication equipment business, but they ceased providing service and supplying parts for these old automotive units many decades ago.

The story I heard from a reliable source was that a long time Bijur employee was handling that side of the business which included Packard, Stutz, Marmon, Rolls-Royce, Duesenberg and others. Some cheap skate started complaining about the price of parts and giving the place a hard time so they said forget about these old car nuts.
