The complete assembly for the Speedster is on top. The shifter that I pulled for you is on the bottom. You may have to drill the pin out, if it doesn't knock out.

So begs the question from someone who knows nothing about that year. The "new" shaft appears to be one piece but if that is the case, was there more than one version with a single piece later replacing a two piece or vise versa? Is the break where the hole is located or does the ball allow a lot of flexing? If not, if one piece how could a fairly thick piece of metal break like that?

They're both one piece. RHR's broke just above the threads of the ball swivel. The threads are part of the ball piece, that slides off once the pin is removed.

actually the one on top is what i need. i have a super 8 and mines looks just like that. Are you willing to sell me the top one?

They're both the same; one has the swivel ball attached. If the threads on yours are broken along with the shifter rod, I'll go back and see what I can find.
