Yes, those too but as they were already mentioned, I didn’t mention them again.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll pass this on to my uncle.
He had suggested if I didn't want my Clipper he'd engine swap it and turn it into "something", but that 51 I think would be much better. Interior and body need essentially nothing and if you're gonna swap an engine, why not just buy a car with no engine... Only question is whether the seller thinks it's worth some absurd amount... and whether he has a title.

No question that it is a 1954 Patrician. The Cavalier has more holes on the side for the little spears while the Patrician has only four and those are clearly visible if viewing the photo full-size. If he’s just looking for a running engine, there is one posted on this site that is from a 250 or 300 so it is the 5-main 327. Of course, the 359 engine is the same physical size so will fit any 1951-1954 even if incorrect for the year and model.

For some reason, I always thought that the 9 main engines used in the 1951-54 Patricians had a longer block than the 288 and 327 engines. I guess I was wrong. Then it will fit in a 200.

No, they were all identical but with different bores and strokes along with different heads. Some ‘53s and ‘54s also had 4-barrel carburetors and, of course, the electrical accessories varied with some Autolite and some Delco-Remy depending on year and model.

That '54 is the right price, that's for certain. But at the price of gasoline, these Packard parts road trips are beginning to get to me. That and the time.
Tell him to get the '54 and use the 359 and call that guy in Utah with the supercharged 327 and make a good hot rod.

Wat_Tyler: I agree. The base 288 engine in a 1951 200 has only 135 hp but the 1954 359 has 212 hp with four barrel carburetion. That will make that 200 a pretty lively performer.

Yep. And it won't be Just Another Shivverlay. If you're going to rod it, then there's no substitute for cubic inches.
Plus, I know that Isky ground a 327 cam back in '10, so . . . .
