Supers and Super Deluxe cars in the 23d series had the radiator behind the cradle as they had an extra 7 inches of hood length to burn up.

Ok that all looks like I would expect.
It was this picture that confused me as that bar coming down from the top looks very much like a pre-war swaybar where it connects to the jack pads on the front of the trailing arms. Here is the one on my 37: Back to your issue, I would expect the center of that swaybar to move very much, just rotate a bit. Perhaps your bushings toasted where the bar mounts to the frame. Or something else has changed which is affecting the geometry of that bar.
