As for my Dad being in the pic, I don't think so. I'm posting my Dad hard copies of the 2 pages, because he now lives 500+ plus miles away and he might recognise some of the Aussie soldiers in the shot. I'll let you know.

Who can confirm whether the Packard is a '38 or a '39?

That's going to be pretty hard to do seeing that there's only two decent faces in the pic, a couple of blurred ones, and the rest are Aussie butts!

There is an Aussie Packard in our Owners Register entered by 'tabletennissport'
Its a 39 and bears a smart resemblance to this captured machine. (It also appear that "Tabletennissport" has been able to give his a little more TLC than the Japanese. Different day differnt priorities).
