MAYBE that's why they used two different PS sytems between Jr and Sr????
No, I don't think so. The reason they used both Monroe and Bendix is no doubt the same reason that they used both Autolite and Delco electrics and multiple brands of tires. Not because one is better than the other (remember, in the 40s the Senior cars used Autolite, and in the 50s the Senior cars used Delco). It was a simple matter of protecting yourself against supply shortages such as occured with the shortage of Autolite generators during the 56th series production.

Keith,
Just an FYI, you can attached multiple pictures to the same post which makes posting them faster. If you need help with that, just then let me know.

So, my question at this point is: IS the PS system (see pix above) i have correct or not???? Is it somekind of Gerry rig set up or is it factory???? I see no way to reroute the hoses.

No, it's incorrect. When the spring thaw comes and I get the car up on a lift, I'll take a picture for you, but hopefully you can find a Bendix-equipped car in the interim and crawl under and take a look.

While I never had such a problem with either of the two V8s I have with Bendix P/S, its too cold (and frozen) to get into offsite storage, and my parts book is not at hand.
Yet, since the formed steel sleeve is attached to the cast-iron valve body by only two fastenrs, could it simply be misassembled - that is, 180-degrees out of phase?
