Any uploaded PNGs will automatically converted to JPGs. PNGs are just too large even at high compression vs JPG.

PNGs are also not a standard for Web browsers even though most these days support them. Only JPEG and GIF are standard. On my own sites, I use PNGs for things requiring transparency such as logos or buttons (which generate the image on the fly from a few lines of code so no storage issue) and I even use Apple’s HEIC, storing them without modification, with a viewer program that converts them on the fly for viewing.

Kev,

I love the new logo. But can you change the style so that there is a white background on the parts list table?

This should be fixed now.

All of a sudden tonight I got a "Protector detects attacking actions" warning when I tried to comment on a post and include a photo, I used Graphic Converter for Mac to scale the photo down so it wouldn't be too big. Is this a common issue with the Apple Safari browser or something?

No, but it might be due to some character in the file name so be sure it's alphanumeric. Typically the photos will scale automatically by the sites programming so no need to resize unless you're sure it's over the limit.
