Series 23 2-tone

The colors on my Series 23 Packard are factory colors. The top is the original Maumee Maize and the dark is Packard Blue. The color break is around the rear of the top, which was copied from the publicity photos of the Series 23 2-tone. Most people at car shows comment on the color scheme so I guess it was well worth it.

yes,,,i do need to get a fire extinguisher!my view is its been going for almost 70 years now,,hopefully it doesn't choose me to burn up!lol.I doctored up the bare wires.hopefully I will b ok until I can do more repairs or new harness

still scraping and cleaning under carriage.Got the o/d working.frame from firewall fwd looking pretty good.on to brakes after frame, gearbox and rear end service

...got the undercarriage pretty cleam.went for a cruise and blew out a wheel cylinder...after inspection..determined a whole brake job was needed..should have figured any way..knew the brake job was over ten years old.Found wheel cylinders rusted shut on one side at each wheel..less than half of the shoes were working...good thing ive just been cruisen around the neighborhood!Ive got the new deluxe kit coming..hopeing for good results from complete job..looking for drum removal tool now

lowandslow, do a search on "Drum Removal". You will find a good amount of information about the removal. Sometimes the rear drums are very hard to get off. I would suggest a five arm puller but a lot of people have used a three arm pull with good results, you also need a very big hammer.

finished the front brakes,new fluids,new shocks, stabilizer links and transmission snubber,,,hope to get rear brakes done this weekend..ordered nice hub puller and got it yesterday.its three arm but beefy construction..hope it will do.dealing with small seep from diff..dont want to have to take it apart.i may be back on the road next week!!
