That's right. It pulls air down and through the 2 cores, then out to the front and toward the back seat.

That is correct. The 47 and earlier Dual Streams take air in at the top and blow it out toward the front and back. I am not sure when the Dual Streams were discontinued -- they may have lasted thru 50 -- but after that they went to an underseat heater which only blows toward the back.
