Yeah without being there it's really hard to say. One thing to note is that because the LED's use less energy, they should actually work comparatively better if there's poor connections other places (vs. incandescent). So that's why I would think it has to do with fitment.

Hah, I should not have asked about the wire. It is undoubtedly the ground wire.....tiny print on box......I installed the new 6V LED flasher and it works perfect. The ground wire is attached to the fire wall. Sans the H4 headlights, I have not put the LED bulbs in the front driving lights yet nor the rear yet. I do have a LED Brakelighter third brake light that works much better now though. Stay tuned.

Has anyone found an LED bulb that replaces the 1157 brake/tailight bulb with positive ground needed for my '48?
