I got the same model. I added a DIY dust collector using my shop vac. The blaster isn't great but it will do the job.

Well, I did find a set of Caribbean carbs $3500 rebuilt and ready to install. Not worth it to me for my current project but If I found a Caribbean car, then different story.

Since you don't have the air cleaner and have to make linkage, wonder how the modern Edelbrocks that Turbopackman used to champion would work on your current project or compare in price to rebuilt Rochesters. In some of the old threads on site he mentioned a bolt on replacement for the single carb quite often but said there was another smaller cfm that would work for the duals.

Troy, I'm not the least surprised by the $3500 price for the Rochesters; they don't interchange with the Cadillac 2x4 setup or even with the 55 Caribbeans for that matter and obviously the supply has never been great. The last setup I saw for a 56 Carib was at Hershey 3 years ago, superbly restored. It included the manifold, both carbs which were from a 55 Carib but reworked by Daytona to 56 specs though they still had the external fuel bowl vent which was 55 only, a perfect batwing filter, and the fuel lines and linkage. As I recall the asking price was $5500 and it sold in an instant.

I know I have been all over the board lately but I am on overload absorbing all the Packard data and where I want to end up.
My goal is to have a small Packard collection however, the wife is stuck in the 50's and is not interested in pre-wars even though I found a few I would like. I have a few things in the works at the moment. We are in discussions for a "Her" car. I can pick up either of the two below for 11k ea and they are 40xxx miles. Or, I can pick up a 56 pat that had an 1980's restore and was never put back together, it is ready to go to put the engine back in. I can pick this up for $1500, my thoughts were it has the 374 which I could drop into my current project to make this project all correct. The other car is currently Black (which we dislike) and she wants "Pink" Packard. I could shoot it pink, drop in my 352 and although not technically correct, she would have a sweet ride. I am also communicating with a guy of a 55 Caribbean, not sure of the condition he is supposed to be sending me the data and pics. Time to start focusing.

Your first photo, 56P.jpg, is a 55 - I guess you know that?
