1948 Packard Touring Sedan in Pittsburgh, Penna. "Show Ready" is a real stretch, but it supposedly runs and drives and sports Wilwood discs with a dual m/c for $5500.

Thanks, DAF. I was locked into the 120 thinking. It may be a Sedan and not a Touring Sedan, but the photo cuts off the back of the car. Personally, I prefer the fastback style of the sedan. Smoother looking in my mind.

Hi

Four '55 Clippers, three hardtops and a sedan, gather them all up for an ambitious project:

I don't understand what the seller means by "mini ambulance" . His car is built on the standard 158" hearse/ambulance wheelbase, so there isn't anything "mini" about it. As to the "Nu-3-Way side serving doors", they are just standard issue Henney rear doors, which on hearses, ambulances and flower cars, opened "suicide" style.

From the way the parts are just thrown in the car, it's obvious the seller is neither very careful, nor very caring.

As to price, it should be a $1000 OBO, haul it away type scenario. He might do better to show that "all original, restored chrome"....

That poor sad '55 Clipper Custom Constellation with the one blue fender in Lima, Ohio. "There but for the grace of God ..."

The survival of these old cars depends a great deal on plain old dumb luck. My Clipper, purchased from an Albuquerque junk yard, was supposed to be a parts car; but when it arrived at its destination, the new owner determined that it was in much better condition than the original Clipper.

Now it is getting updated repairs at a top-shelf shop in Virginia and is guaranteed a long happy life (barring traffic snafus ...)

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
