So.....if I'm reading this correctly, these tires were made in 1995. (29 years old)

I belive one of the fronts needs to be balanced, and I'm pretty no tire shop is going to touch them due to age. So looks like a cheapo replacement set of tires will be called for to hold the car through the rest of the resto. We will worry pretty tires later.

Being a 16" wheel, options on the cheap side are pretty limited. The tires currently on there are General 7.00x16LT tube tires. General doesn't even make that size anymore.

This was the closest cheap tire I could find that still appears narrow enough and has about a 30" diameter.

Which is a 6.50-16 97L C tubeless tire.

Did you check Walmart for the equivalent radial size? They even have thin whitewalls for cheap.

I just want a black wall that is about 30" diameter and as narrow as possible. Otherwise it will rub the fender when turning.

Light truck tires are generally the ticket when you don't want to spend $300+ per tire for a "classic" tire.

In radial it would be something like a 215/85R16

The 51-56 are more forgiving in the front on those wider radials.
